Mr. Charles Douglas "Doug" Hart

Mr. Charles Douglas Hart, better known as Doug, age 85 of Lansing, NC passed away August 13, 2018 at the Ashe Assisted Living Center in West Jefferson, NC. Mr. Hart was born in Smyth County, VA February 2, 1933 to the late, Ornie Hart and Opal Blanche Perry Hart. He is survived by his two sons, Chuck Hart of Lansing, NC. and Tony Hart and wife, Chrissy of Lansing, NC; one brother, Darrell Hart of Abingdon, VA.; two sisters, Mary Conner of Brandywine, MD and Martha Gullion of Chilhowie, VA; two grandchildren, Jessica Stansberry and husband, Jonathan, and Tiffany Hart; two great grandchildren, Casen Stansberry and Bowen Stansberry; several nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. The care of Doug has been entrusted to High Country Services Funeral and Cremations, 600 Glendale Rd. Galax, VA 24333.
